Subway Platform Door

SUBWAY PLATFORM SCREEN DOOR

which does not dictate where the train stops!

Manufacture by ATM PR in Canada

Platform Edge S Doors (PESDs) and Platform Edge V Barriers (PESBs) offer many advantages to rail and metro operators including increased safety, comfort for passengers, and added aesthetic appeal. This is why they are increasingly being ordered by transport operators across the world. The most obvious benefit is that PESDs and PEVBs act as a physical barrier preventing people or objects from falling or trespassing onto the tracks. This helps prevent suicides, reduces the risk of accidents (especially when trains pass though the station at any speed) and stops people entering or throwing trach into tunnels, which reduces the most dangerous Track fires with a significant reduction of the City GDP.

Platform Edge Screen Doors

The PESD with AI consist of several cavity panel for accommodate its retracting screen doors. The screen door also significantly reduces track level noise, improve acoustics for announcement, reduce dust and contaminates.  With its floor to ceiling LCD display integrated on the Floating Cavity Panel for real time passenger information and commercial advertising.

LCD PANEL CAN BE CONFIGURING for:

  • Passenger Information
  • Commercial Advertising
  • Payment System
  • Train Schedule
  • Emergency
  • First Aid
  • Mobile Charging
  • Out of Service Doors
  • Direct Passenger Flow, chevrons

Full height PESD SAF-T1 which create a total barrier between the station floor and ceiling. The SAF-T1 was introduced primarily to minimize hefty air-conditioning costs. Since then the safety aspects of these doors have become more important.

Platform Edge S Doors SAF-T1 primary purpose is to prevent passengers from falling off the platform edge onto the railway tracks. These PESD slide open or close simultaneously with the Train Doors. The SAF-T1 doors will open to the Full Width of the open Train Doors regardless of the size of the train doors, the number of doors per train car and does not dictate where the train stops.

Compared to existing sliding doors, the SAF-T1 offer the advantage that they offer much larger areas of passage; they can exceed Train Door dimension. Additionally, they have the same dimensions as the space that they fill so they do not add to congestion on the platform. For this reason they are suitable for a wide variety of lines, even those that combine trains of different series, the number of Doors and the size of the Doors as in most Subway in the world.

Platform Edge Vertical Barriers

The Platform Edge V Barriers (PEVB’s) SAF-T2 are full height vertical Barriers. The SAF-T2 is deployed upwards to establish a physical barrier from the platform floor to the height of the train between the train and the edge of the platform. The PEB’s Signiant advantage is it only retracts downward in front of the open train doors to let passengers enter and leave the train. They are designed for automatic drive, and the operation of them is synchronized with the trains.

The SAF-T2 vertical barriers have their own advantages: they are quick and easy to install as they have fewer structural reinforcement requirements. They also are have a lower up-keep cost because they have fewer mechanical elements.

The SAF-T2 vertical barriers from the station floor to ceiling provide a physical barrier between the train and the platform. These are an important safety feature that can be retrofitted onto many metro systems around the world.

The case of the missing platform doors is cost!
